Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, the appointee will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and check welding activities to ensure they are in compliance with current Welding Procedure Specifications;
  • Ensure only qualified welders are assigned to weld with accordance to the welder qualification documents;
  • Coordinate with NDT service provider to test/inspect the welding work to ensure they are completed under the required standards;
  • Keep records of the Weld Control Summary and the associated documents of welding work performed and tested for client acceptance;
  • Report defects on equipment to ensure they are maintained in good working conditions;
  • Coordinate with project staff to facilitate client(s) and relevant authorities to visit site for audit or other inspections.

Requirements:

  • Form 5 or above;
  • Certified welding inspectoras CWI –CSWIP;
  • At least 2 years work experience as welding inspector;
  • Familiar with pipe welding;
  • Holder of valid green card;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Good Communication Skill.
  • Work location at Power Station in Lung Kwu Tan, Tuen Mun;
  • Work time: Monday to Saturday 7:45am to 6pm.
