Job Description

MISSION

  • Management of all aspects related to Hong Kong and Macau Wholesale markets
  • Substantially increase sales in these markets, while maintaining the profit margin
  • Improve the visibility and brand awareness of the brand in these markets through strong marketing activities and top positioning of the brand in the market place
  • Maintain and further strengthen our strong partnerships with existing and potential new partners
  • Manage and build a strong Hong Kong WS team (three direct reports)

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks to be done in office:

  • Ensure that the yearly sales objectives are reached
  • Daily interaction with our partners in the territory for all matters concerning these clients
  • Prepare a 360 action plan for each market twice a year, which includes strategic initiatives, full marketing plan, media plan, product and order plan, POS development, incentives plan, staff training, etc. This plan needs to be approved by the management and family before its implementation
  • Take the lead for all projects concerning the Hong Kong and Macau WS markets, e.g. special projects, events, limited editions, etc.
  • Host our clients in Geneva for factory visits, trainings, order taking, Baselworld and other occasions
  • Interact with every relevant department at company to fulfil the requests of our clients and support them in the best possible way. Such departments include Merchandising Planning & Logistic, Store Development & Decoration, Customer Service, Finance, etc. in Hong Kong.
  • Manage the order and stock replenishment cycle and ensure that the model stock is properly implemented and reordered. Liaise with the Merchandising Planning & Logistic department to arrange the delivery and support with the follow up
  • Lead and manage and the associated team members to become strong and independent managers of sales accounts in the near future
  • Monitor the team’s activities, give guidance and engage in the target setting and evaluation process
  • Regular competitor and market analysis to monitor the development of the company vs. the industry
  • Act as the point of contact for DFS on an operational level, supporting them locally

 

Task to be done in the market:

  • Frequent visits to meet with our clients, visit our point of sales and interact with the boutique and POS sales staff
  • Ensure the wholesale operations are aligned with the company’s overall goal and follow the brand’s high-end positioning and pricing guidelines
  • Take orders based on local demand and in line with the product strategy for the market
  • Coordinate trainings with the Training Manager for our partners concerning product knowledge, marketing initiatives and decoration
  • Ensure a perfect visual merchandizing in each POS wherethe brand is presented
  • Organize local events together with our partner and provide the on-site support for the preparation and sales activities
  • Ensure a good and positive relationship with our business partners, while defending the interests and intentions of the brand 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree holder in Sales & Marketing or related disciplines
  • Minimum 15 years’ of commercial activities, preferably experience in luxury watch and jewelry brands
  • Established team leadership experience over several years
  • Experience to serve and interact with VIP clients
  • In depth knowledge of watch & jewelry as well as luxury industry
  • Strong management skill
  • Strategic thinker, able to set long term development goals with solid business acumen
  • Strong negotiator, communicator and persuader / project driver
  • Good analytical, organization and problem solving skills
  • Highly-motivated, adaptable and with independent drive
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude and good ‘common sense’
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Elegant attire and manners
  • Passion and deep interest for mechanical watches and Jeweler
  • Advanced analytical skills & IT knowledge such as Excel & PowerPoint. Company’s internal tools (Salesforce, PSP, etc.) need to be used daily in the operation
  • Language: Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin
