What is the Jobsdb SmartHire Reward Program – Candidate?
This is an incentive program offered by Jobsdb to candidates who get hired for select jobs through the platform.
How does this program work?
If you apply for selected jobs through Jobsdb and get hired for the role, you will be eligible for a reward, which will be outlined in the job listing. The reward will be given within 60 days from your official start date with the hiring company.
What kind of rewards can I expect from the Jobsdb SmartHire Rewards Program?
Rewards include Candidate Reward and Referral Reward. Please refer to the job listings page for the job you’re applying to for details on what is included. Do note that individuals will only be eligible for one (1) of either Referral Reward or Candidate Reward and not both for any unique job advertisement under the SmartHire program.
What happens if I don’t receive my Candidate Reward?

Can the Candidate Rewards be changed or discontinued?
Yes, the terms and conditions of the Candidate Rewards can be changed or discontinued at any time without prior notice. However, any changes or discontinuation will not affect rewards that have already been earned.
How can I claim my candidate reward?
Once you have applied for and have been confirmed for a job advertisement which is eligible for a Candidate Reward (SmartHire by Jobsdb Reward – Candidate), you will receive an email communication from [email protected] with detailed instructions on next steps to redeem your reward.
How long does it take to get my Candidate Reward?
Jobsdb pays out Candidate Reward a certain period of time after the candidate’s start date with the company. In most cases, rewards are paid out within 60 days of the candidate’s start date. Our team will verify that you have met all eligibility requirements and process the payment of your reward.

Definitions
Personnel employed on a permanent or temporary basis (hereinafter referred to as ‘Candidate’)
Job advertisements published on Jobsdb Hong Kong Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Jobsdb”) inclusive of the term ‘#SmartHire’ in the job description (“the SmartHire program”)
Date in which the candidate commences his/her employment by reporting to work for an employer (“Commencement Date” or “Date of Commencement”)
A reward for the candidate to enhance accuracy in tracking contributions and successes to the Hong Kong economy as a result of the SmartHire program (“Candidate Reward”)
The act of the employee giving notice to the employer to terminate the employment relationship (“Resignation” or “Resign”)
The reward the candidate will receive upon fulfilling eligibility criteria which will be listed in job advertisements participating in the SmartHire program (“Advertised Amount”)
Terms & Conditions
To be eligible for the candidate reward, the candidate will have to fulfil the following criteria:
Have a Jobsdb profile with a minimum of one (1) CV uploaded,
Applied to job advertisements under the SmartHire program,
Received and accepted an offer from an employer who has posted a job advertisement under the SmartHire program; and
Provide information on monthly salary agreed upon with employer, date of work commencement and confirmation of work commencement for the job acquired from the SmartHire program.
Candidates will be eligible for the advertised amount upon fulfilment of the criteria set in clause (1) above.
Payment of Candidate Reward will be made within 60 days of the candidate commencing the new job acquired through the SmartHire program and meeting the criteria listed above.
The eligible candidate ceases to be eligible if they resign from the job acquired through the SmartHire program within 30 days of commencement date.
The candidate understands that by enrolling in this Candidate Reward scheme, Jobsdb will award the candidate with a reward as an incentive with monetary value for enhancing accuracy in tracking contributions and successes to the Hong Kong economy as a result of the SmartHire program. Such reward shall not constitute a commission or any kind payable by an Jobsdb to any candidate for arranging any contract of employment or inviting, inducing, attempting to invite or induce the candidate to make a decision to enter into a contract of employment with any companies participating in the SmartHire program.
The candidate will bear responsibility to provide accurate information in regards to the Candidate Reward (including bank details). Jobsdb will not take liability for submission of incorrect bank account details resulting in transfers to the wrong bank account.
Individuals will only be eligible for one (1) of either Referral Reward or Candidate Reward and not both for any unique job advertisement under the SmartHire program.
Jobsdb reserves the right to refuse payment on unethical or abuse of the Candidate Reward program.
Jobsdb retains the right to amend the terms herein by giving candidates a 30-day advance notice in writing.
Jobsdb will not be responsible for any tax obligations on behalf of the candidate as a result of the Candidate Reward program.
