How to become an Accounting Manager
An Accounting Manager manages the operations of the accounting department, which tracks the company’s financial information. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline is required.
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Being a Hong Kong certified public accountant, with membership to the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) or to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or having similar certifications is an advantage.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Experience in financial reporting, along with proficiency in computerized accounting systems, is usually required.
- Competent at leading a team, has excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and solid analytical/problem-solving skills.
