Assistant Relationship Managers work closely with Relationship Managers, often in banking and finance industries, helping to develop and maintain client relationships. This involves addressing client enquiries, drafting financial reports and collaborating with the sales team to create product packages that suit a client's needs. They also assist with research and analysis to help tailor financial advice and solutions to a client's specific circumstances. Assistant Relationship Managers are often the first point of contact for clients, bridging the gap between the customer and the Relationship Manager. In this role, excellent communication and customer service skills are key, along with a sound understanding of the financial services industry.
Tasks and duties
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients to understand financial goals and needs.
- Assisting the Relationship Manager in implementing client service and retention strategies.
- Completing required preparation for client meetings, such as preparing presentations and gathering necessary documents.
- Analysing financial statements and cash flow patterns to identify client risks and opportunities.
- Providing product specialists with qualified referrals for cross-selling.
- Compiling reports and activity logs for review by the Relationship Manager.
- Onboarding new clients and ensuring compliance with current business legislation.
