Veterinary Nurse

Tasks and duties

• Assisting veterinarians in the examination and treatment of animals.
• Administering medication, vaccines and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Monitoring and caring for animals after surgery, including wound care and the administration of post-operative medication.
• Performing initial health checks and providing routine care for in-patients.
• Maintaining veterinary instruments, equipment and the cleanliness of the practice.
• Preparing animals and operating room for surgery.
• Communicating with pet owners, offering advice and support on pet health and care.
