The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) was established in Hong Kong in 1961. It is a charitable organization with partial government subvention to promote the Award Scheme and to provide services to our participants to complete our Awards. To date, we have around 50,000 young people participating in the Award Scheme in over 700 youth organizations and schools.AYP is a programme about challenge, perseverance, enterprise and achievement, which fills the gap left by formal education. AYP provides young people (aged 14 to 24) with chances of facing challenges and opportunities to achieve personal goals, and to know more about themselves and their community through experiential learning.
