ABOUT THE ROLE

MRDI is inviting a capable and high-calibre professional to join the team as Engineer, Failure Analysis (FA), responsible for failure analysis of semiconductor devices, including sample preparation, analysis execution, and root cause investigation. MRDI 現誠邀具能力及高質素的專業人士加入，擔任失效分析工程師，負責半導體失效分析工作，包括樣品製備、分析執行及根因分析等。

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 主要職責

• Responsible for receiving, logging, and managing failure analysis samples and workflow.  負責失效樣品的接收、登記及分析流程管理。

• Perform sample preparation for failure analysis, including cutting, grinding, polishing, and related processes.  負責失效樣品製備，包括切割、研磨、拋光等前處理工藝。

• Operate FIB, SEM, EDX and related tools to perform hands-on failure analysis (on-tool).  熟練操作FIB、SEM、EDX等分析設備，執行失效分析工作（hands-on, on-tool）。

• Conduct structural characterisation, material analysis, and defect localisation.  負責分析過程中的結構觀察、成分分析及缺陷定位。

• Analyse failure mechanisms and provide preliminary conclusions.  負責失效機理分析及初步結論輸出。

• Support cross-functional root cause analysis with Process, WAT, PIE and other teams.  支援跨部門問題分析，與工藝、WAT、PIE等團隊協同開展root cause分析。

• Prepare failure analysis reports, consolidate data, and archive analysis results.  編寫分析報告，整理數據並歸檔分析結果。

• Maintain, manage, and calibrate FA laboratory equipment.  負責FA實驗室設備的日常維護、管理及校準。

• Maintain workplace organisation (6S) and manage tools and consumables in the FA laboratory.  負責FA區域的6S管理、工具及耗材管理。

• Assist in special analysis tasks and development of new failure analysis methodologies.  協助開展專項分析任務及新分析方法開發。

• Provide administrative support and undertake ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.  提供行政支援，並執行主管指派的其他臨時工作。
  

REQUIREMENTS 入職要求

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in Microelectronics, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.  持有微電子、材料、物理、電子工程或相關專業學士學位或以上學歷。 

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in failure analysis (FA).  具備至少3年以上半導體失效分析（FA）相關工作經驗。

• Proficient in using FIB, SEM, and EDX for failure analysis.  熟練使用FIB、SEM、EDX進行失效分析。 

• Hands-on experience in sample preparation (e.g. mechanical polishing, ion milling).  具備樣品製備相關經驗（如機械研磨、離子束製樣等）。 

• Familiar with semiconductor device structures and common failure mechanisms.  熟悉半導體器件結構及常見失效機理。

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and root cause investigation skills.  具備良好的問題分析及根因分析能力。

• Good report writing and data consolidation skills.  具備良好的報告撰寫能力及數據整理能力。

• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across different functional teams.  具良好溝通及團隊合作能力，能與不同職能團隊有效協作。

• Good command of written English and Chinese.  良好的英文及中文書寫能力。

• Willing to work in a cleanroom environment.  能適應潔淨室工作環境。

Note: The actual rank and position offered will be commensurate with the applicant's qualifications and experience. 備註： 實際職級及職位將根據應徵者之資歷及經驗而定。

The initial employment contract spans 24 months and can be renewed with a longer tenure upon mutual agreement of the incumbent and MRDI. The incumbent will normally work five days a week. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A gratuity of 15% of the salary will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the contract. 初始聘用合約為期 24個月，並可在員工與MRDI雙方同意下續約及延長聘期。受聘人一般須每週工作五天。薪酬將按資歷及經驗釐定。於合約圓滿完成後，將發放相當於基本薪酬 15% 的約滿酬金（Gratuity）。
