About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join the Sushi Kit team. You will play a key hands-on role in delivering high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef, and helping maintain the highest standards of consistency, hygiene, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present high-quality sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and attention to detail
Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and efficiency
Maintain the sushi station — fully stocked, organised, and immaculately clean at all times
Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
Support menu execution and seasonal offerings as required
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef (or equivalent) in a Japanese / sushi restaurant
Strong technical knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-standard environment with excellent attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for Japanese cuisine
Experience in fine-dining or omakase settings is an advantage
