Assistant Product Development Manager (Western cuisine)

Job Description:

• Assist in the development of Western cuisine products, including recipe creation, dish research, and regular reviews.

• Prepare menus that meet brand standards and coordinate with the Operations team to ensure smooth recipe implementation.

• Support photo shoots and advertising activities as required by the Marketing team; assist the Product Development Manager in arranging ingredient sourcing and product preparation.

• Assist the department in meeting Procurement’s requirements for product testing, conduct inspections, and provide reports.

• Conduct regular restaurant visits to review food quality, presentation, and compliance with standards, and evaluate the implementation of quality improvement measures.

• Assist in organizing culinary training sessions.

• Participate in product development meetings and ensure timely execution of agreed actions.

• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the tasting area.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in food product development, with exposure to Chinese and/or Western cuisine; experience in the fast-food industry is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Chinese, and Mandarin.

• Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese Word Processing.

• Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and supply chain management, with the ability to independently manage the product lifecycle and ensure compliance.

• Passionate about the fast-food industry.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and all organizational levels, both internally and externally.

• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and exceptional time management skills.

• Well-structured, efficient, and able to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently for work purposes.
