About the role

We are seeking a Department Manager/Store Manager (With Incentive) to join our team on a full-time basis in Hong Kong SAR. This is a strategic leadership position that sits at the heart of our retail operations. As Department Manager/Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and creating an inspiring shopping environment for our customers. Your leadership will directly impact the profitability and reputation of your department or store, making this role integral to our business success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily store or department operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and retail standards

• Manage sales targets, inventory levels and stock rotation to maximise profitability and minimise shrinkage

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of sales staff and supervisors, fostering a positive and performance-driven workplace culture

• Conduct staff training and coaching programmes to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills and sales techniques

• Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth

• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure an attractive, well-organised store or department layout

• Manage customer relationships and resolve complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty

• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage personnel matters, including recruitment, scheduling and disciplinary actions where necessary

• Liaise with head office departments on promotional campaigns, product launches and operational initiatives

• Control budgets, expenses and resources, working towards predetermined profit targets and financial goals

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably as a Department Manager or Store Manager in a multi-brand or department store environment

• Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, sales analysis, visual merchandising and customer service standards

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams of varying sizes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels and customers

• Sound financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets, control costs and achieve sales targets

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make swift decisions under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions

• Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional retail experiences

• Fluency in Cantonese and English (or another relevant local language) is highly desirable

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; retail management certification or higher education qualification is preferred

• Computer literacy and proficiency with retail management systems and point-of-sale technology
