Secondary School Physics Teacher
Job Summary:
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and creative Secondary School Physics Teacher to join our dynamic Science Department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction across Lower Secondary Science, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS/A Level, Edexcel AS/A Level and IBDP Physics. This role also contributes to the school’s character and values education, as well as student leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
Plan and deliver effective Physics & Science lessons aligned with the curriculum standards.
Teach Lower Secondary Science, IGCSE, AS/A Level, and IBDP Physics.
Monitor and assess student performance, offering feedback and targeted support.
Collaborate with the Science Department to develop curriculum and teaching materials.
Encourage a supportive, inquiry-based learning environment.
Pastoral & Student Development:
Promote character development and value-based education.
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being.
Engage with students in co-curricular and leadership activities.
Collaboration & Professional Development:
Contribute to departmental meetings, school events, and professional growth opportunities.
Participate in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular programs.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science or a related field
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGDE, or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience
Experience teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level, or IBDP Physics
Skills & Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective classroom management and differentiated instruction
Passion for Mathematics education and student achievement
Collaborative team player
Desirable:
Experience teaching high-achieving students
Experience teaching in diverse, multicultural classrooms
Technological proficiency and familiarity with AI tools in education
