Manager, Business Development (China Market Solutions)
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive China market solution development and strategic channel partnerships across local digital ecosystems. This role focuses on identifying business opportunities, expanding platform partnerships, and supporting integrated digital media solutions for clients across the market.
Key Responsibilities
Drive business development initiatives and identify growth opportunities across the China digital ecosystem.
Coordinate with different China channel partners, especially Xiaohongshu (XHS), Douyin, Tencent, and other local platforms, to explore business opportunities and stay updated on the latest products, solutions, and platform capabilities from each core platform.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media platforms, partners, and vendors to support business expansion.
Explore new clients with China market demand and support China solution pitching and proposal development.
Develop and propose integrated digital media solutions tailored to client objectives and market trends.
Support campaign strategy planning aligned with client goals, platform capabilities, and market insights.
Create media OA and ad accounts, and support platform onboarding processes where required.
Work closely with internal Product Delivery (PD), operations, sales, and account management teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of campaigns and solutions.
Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to deliver customized proposals and solutions.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and platform developments within the China market.
Support campaign performance analysis and recommend optimization strategies to improve business outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
5+ years of experience in business development, partnership management, digital media, or account management within the China market.
Strong understanding of China digital platforms and ecosystems, including Tencent, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and related media channels.
Proven experience in managing channel partners, client relationships, or commercial collaborations.
Sales-driven mindset with strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
