Our Data & Analytics team assists clients to develop and execute their strategies by optimising the use of information. We enable businesses to provide the right data to the right people at the right time, and realise their objectives through insights from their data.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Development:
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured/unstructured data.
Integrate data from APIs, databases, IoT devices, and third-party systems.
Implement real-time/batch processing using tools like Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.
Cloud & Big Data Solutions:
Migrate and optimize legacy systems to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Deploy data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift) and lakes (Databricks, S3).
Leverage serverless technologies (Lambda, Azure Functions) for cost efficiency.
Documentation:
Maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, data dictionaries, and process workflows.
Collaboration & Optimization:
Work with finance/actuarial teams to productionize models.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure data quality.
Automate workflows using DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, Terraform).
Data Strategy & Solution Design:
Partner with clients to assess data needs, pain points, and goals.
Design tailored data architectures (cloud, hybrid, or on-premises).
Advise on best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
Client Management:
Drive workshops to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and documentation.
Experience & Background
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or related field
At least 3 years of working experience on data pipeline e.g., Azure Data Factory / Airflow / Informatica / Databricks
Knowledge of data modeling (star schema, data vault) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi).
Hands on programming skill e.g., SQL / Java / Python / C++ / Scala / SAS / Kafka
Practical Experience with implementing large-scale enterprise data solutions e.g. data lake/data warehouse/data mesh
Deep understanding of cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options e.g., Azure / AWS / Google Cloud / Alibaba Cloud / Tencent Cloud
Experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies
Knowledge of market trends and emerging technologies such as Big Data, Block Chain, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, etc would be a bonus
Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies
Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
