Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking versatile and dedicated general reporters who can handle a variety of story areas. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to contribute across different topics and help us capture the complex narratives impacting our city and its residents.
In this role, you will:
Cultivate a deep understanding of your specific beat, contributing to informed and nuanced reporting.
Develop and maintain a valuable network of contacts to gather insights and leads.
Produce original and impactful stories that resonate with our audience and drive engagement.
Exhibit strong interviewing techniques and exceptional writing skills that bring stories to life.
Showcase a portfolio of published work that demonstrates both breadth and depth of coverage.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant journalistic experience.
Proven ability to thrive as a collaborative team player, especially under tight deadlines.
Excellent command of English writing, with strong storytelling flair; proficiency in Cantonese is a significant advantage.
A passion for journalism, with a commitment to uncovering truths and making an impact through your reporting.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
