Job description:
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Excellence
Identify and implement innovative solutions that improve productivity, quality, and cost in denim production.
Conduct studies and benchmarking to propose new machinery, systems, methodologies, and technologies.
Lead cross‑functional Continuous Improvement projects; track impact and sustain results.
Develop efficiency and cost‑saving strategies through layout optimization, method improvement, and systems streamlining.
Guide IE teams to collect and analyze performance trends; translate insights into action plans.
Drive automation and innovation projects for bulk production; manage roadmaps and progress reviews.
Evaluate and maintain strategic partnerships with advanced/automated machinery suppliers.
Mechanic R&D
Lead R&D to enhance machine efficiency, reliability, and performance for denim operations.
Introduce and implement new technologies and automation to streamline processes and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with engineering to design and prototype machinery; oversee trials and industrialization.
Stay abreast of industry trends; recommend and execute relevant upgrades and retrofits.
Integrate new machinery seamlessly into existing systems and standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
15+ years in apparel/denim manufacturing, industrial engineering, or manufacturing excellence; multi‑factory experience preferred.
Proven track record leading Lean/Continuous Improvement programs with measurable impact on cost, quality, and throughput.
Hands‑on experience with automation, advanced machinery selection, installation, and supplier management.
Solid understanding of production line balancing, time & motion study, layout design, and method engineering.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management; ability to coach cross‑functional teams and influence change.
Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Good command of English & Chinese
Extensive travel to overseas is required
