We are looking for an innovative Assistant Marketing Manager who understands fundamental marketing strategies and has the drive to execute them effectively.
The Role
As the Assistant Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the marketing strategy and execution for our portfolio of sports events. This role requires a balance of traditional marketing acumen—understanding target audiences, consumer behavior, and brand positioning—with the operational agility to drive event registrations and community loyalty. You will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with operations, sponsorship, and creative teams.
Key Responsibilities
Traditional Marketing Strategy & Positioning
Targeting & Segmentation: Apply classic marketing frameworks (STP, 4 Ps) to segment the sports community and tailor specific messaging for each group.
Brand Governance: Maintain strict brand positioning and tone of voice guidelines across all physical event touchpoints and digital channels.
OOH & Offline Integration: Assist in managing traditional marketing channels, including event signage, sports expo booths, PR/media relations, and Out-Of-Home (OOH) print advertisements in Hong Kong.
Content & Channel Management
Multi-Platform Management: Manage and optimize content across social media channels maximize engagement and build community.
Copywriting: Draft high-converting, bilingual marketing copy, adapting the tone smoothly between professional PR materials and high-energy social captions.
Creative Coordination: Oversee the creation of visual assets and video content, ensuring all online graphics and live-event footage align seamlessly with our brand identity.
Funnel Optimization & Analytics
Marketing Funnel Optimization: Track the customer journey from initial event awareness to ticket purchase/registration, ensuring a friction-free conversion funnel.
Data Analysis: Monitor and report on marketing KPIs (ROI, CPA, conversion rates) to extract actionable insights from attendee registration data.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A strong academic or professional foundation in traditional marketing principles is essential.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or event management. Experience in the sports, fitness, or mass-participation entertainment industry is highly preferred.
Core Marketing Skills: Solid understanding of brand strategy, consumer psychology, public relations, and multi-channel campaign planning.
Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese. Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
Personal Attributes: A genuine passion for sports, a structured strategic mind, and a proactive, organized approach to problem-solving.
AI Proficiency: Proven ability to enhance marketing workflows through the use of AI tools for content creation (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, CapCut), task automation (e.g., Zapier), and social media management.
