CEDAR Fund is an independent Christian relief and development organisation founded in Hong Kong in 1991.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Vision and Commitment

• Commit to and actively support the vision, mission, and operational principles of CEDAR Fund in all areas of work.

Fundraising & Event Management

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver fundraising and relationship‑building initiatives to expand the donor base and deepen engagement with supporters.

• Recruit, mobilise, and coordinate volunteers to support engagement and fundraising activities.

• Maintain and analyse the CRM database to track, evaluate, and improve supporter engagement.

Marketing & Communications

• Develop written content, including newsletters, promotional materials, and marketing communications.

• Collect and curate resources (such as pictures, stories, and testimonials) through occasional exposure trips and/or field visits for communications and fundraising use.

Outreach & Public Engagement

• Conduct sharing sessions and talks at schools, churches, and other community platforms to raise awareness of poverty‑related issues and CEDAR Fund’s work.

• Build relationships with supporters, partners, and community stakeholders through outreach activities.

Internal Coordination & Team Support

• Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to coordinate ongoing promotional and fundraising initiatives, including events, activities, and marketing campaigns.

Other Duties

• Carry out other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or Head of Partnership Development from time to time.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience

• University graduate, preferably with a major in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management or related disciplines.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in fundraising, marketing and/or event planning.

• Proficiency in computer literacy including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, with experience in major social media channels and graphic applications being an added advantage.

Skills & Attributes

• Commitment to CEDAR Fund’s mission and values.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Skilled in multi-tasking and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.

• Familiarity with the cultures of NGOs and communities is preferred. Theological training is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel and visit overseas partners in remote or high-risk areas on an irregular basis.
