IT Engineer (AI & Smart Building Solutions)
Job Overview
We seek a proactive IT Engineer specializing in AI integration and building automation systems. The role involves developing intelligent solutions for building control and central monitoring systems, leveraging AI models to optimize energy efficiency and operational reliability in Hong Kong’s urban infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
System Development & Integration
Proficiency in Python/Java, experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow.
Design and implement Building Automation Systems (BAS) and central monitoring platforms, integrating subsystems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, security) via protocols like BACnet or Modbus.
Develop APIs for data exchange between IoT devices and AI-driven analytics modules.
AI Model Deployment
Apply machine learning (e.g., time-series forecasting, anomaly detection) to analyze building operational data and enhance predictive maintenance.
Explore LLM/GPT-based solutions for natural language processing in fault reporting or automated troubleshooting guides.
Operational Optimization
Monitor system performance, diagnose hardware/software failures, and maintain technical documentation.
Propose data-driven strategies to improve energy efficiency and system resilience.
Qualifications
Technical Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Programming: Proficiency in Python/Java, experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow.
Domain Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls) and IoT device management.
Understanding of embedded systems for real-time control (e.g., Raspberry Pi applications).
Experience: 1–3 years in AI development or industrial automation. Prior exposure to smart building projects is a plus.
Soft Skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware engineers, clients, business units).
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to rapid technological changes.
Preferred Attributes
Familiarity with multi-modal AI (e.g., GPT-4V) or RAG/Agent frameworks.
Certifications in cloud computing (AWS/Azure) or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP).
Location
Hong Kong (On-site required for system deployments).
