Technical Services Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-project Preparation
Participate in tendering and technical solution development; provide professional recommendations on hardware installation; review construction drawings to ensure compliance with Hong Kong building regulations and industry standards. Develop construction, safety, and resource allocation plans; conduct technical briefings to clarify installation requirements and key technical points.
2. On-site Construction Management
Control project progress to ensure on-time delivery; supervise installation quality in line with product specifications and Hong Kong construction standards. Implement site safety requirements, conduct safety training, identify hazards, and handle incidents. Coordinate the installation team, allocate manpower, and provide technical guidance. Manage material inspection, storage, and usage.
3. Technical Service Support
Resolve on-site installation technical issues and provide solutions; oversee hardware and software system commissioning and acceptance. Provide after-sales technical support to ensure customer satisfaction; collect on-site data to optimize installation processes and technical solutions.
4. Communication and Coordination
Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, main contractors, and other stakeholders to align requirements; manage project variations and claims to control costs. Report project progress regularly; coordinate with suppliers to ensure product quality and delivery lead times.
5. Cost and Document Management
Monitor installation costs to stay within budget; manage project documents including construction logs and inspection records. Organize project completion and handover, prepare settlement documents, and support payment collection.
Job Requirements
1. Degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred. Professional qualifications in Hong Kong (e.g., HKIE member, Registered Construction Professional) are highly desirable.
2. 5+ years of on-site installation management experience in the architectural hardware industry in Hong Kong. Familiar with installation of architectural hardware, automatic entrances, access control, hotel locks, and related systems. Experience independently managing large-scale commercial/residential projects is preferred. Knowledgeable about Hong Kong building regulations, safety standards, and acceptance procedures.
3. Proficient in installation techniques and technical requirements for architectural hardware products; familiar with Hong Kong site safety regulations; competent in safety management and on-site problem-solving.
4. Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination skills; strong team management and leadership capabilities. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Meticulous detail orientation, strong organizational and time management skills.
